Joana Gyan Cudjoe said she had decided not to renew or extend the partnership, adding that Keche Global would henceforth operate independently without her financial, managerial or business support.
She described the decision as a professional one taken “with peace, humility, kindness, love and respect,” while stressing that the separation was not the result of any fight, hatred or controversy.
During the seven-year partnership, the legislator said she invested significantly in the duo’s music career, supporting recording and production, music videos, marketing, branding, artist development, travel, performances and other creative projects.
She further disclosed that she changed the group’s name from Keche to Keche Global as part of her vision to expand the duo’s reach beyond Ghana.
Despite the end of their professional relationship, Joana Gyan Cudjoe said her personal and family ties with the group remain intact.
Keche Andrew, known in private life as Andrew Kofi Cudjoe, is her husband, while Joshua Kojo Ampah is the other member of the music duo.
“KECHE WILL ALWAYS BE FAMILY,” the statement said, as she wished the group success in its next chapter.
The Amenfi Central MP said she will now redirect her resources and experience towards developing new talent, music projects, investments and other opportunities through GEM Multimedia Ghana Ltd.”
