Alhaji Aliko Dangote is a Nigerian business magnate with an estimated net worth of $20.8 billion USD as of November 2013. He is the owner of the Dangote Group, which has interests in commodities with operations in Nigeria and several other countries in Africa including Benin,Cameroon,Togo,Ghana,South Africa and Zambia

Dangote is ranked by Forbes Magazine as the 43rd richest person in the world and the richest man in Africa.He ousted Saudi-Ethiopian billionaire Mohammed Hussein Al Amoudi in 2013 by over $2.6 billion to become the world’s richest black man.

Mr. Dangote established his business in Ghana and the cement producing giant who recently commissioned the largest cement plant in Africa intends to increase its production in Ghana. It currently supplies 750,000 tonnes of cement a year to the Ghanaian market, but will increase this to 1.5 million tonnes by the end of this first quarter
