Ifey Ikeonu (Mrs.)

Ifey Ikeonu is a Council Member at the ECOWAS Regional Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERERA). She holds a Masters degree in Law as well as an MBA. She is an energy lawyer with over 20 years of experience in the Nigerian and West African Electric Power Sector. She also has considerable experience in corporate strategy and project management.

Prior to joining ERERA in January 2011, she held various senior management positions at the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission as well as the Power Holding Company of Nigeria.

Mrs. Ikeonu played an active role in the power sector reform programme in Nigeria where she worked with various committees on the Legal and Regulatory aspects of the reform and was also pivotal in developing the regulatory framework for the regional electricity market of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

She has written a number of articles on the various power sector reform programmes and electricity regulation within ECOWAS. She has also presented numerous papers on the same subjects.  She is a certified Regulation Specialist. She is a member of several professional bodies including the International Bar Association, the Project Management Institute, the International Association of Energy Economist and the Institute of Management Consultants.

Mrs. Ikeonu has a passion for women empowerment and children’s rights and works with several NGOs in this respect. She is a Trustee of the Oasis Centre for Women and Children Development based in Abuja and also a Partner with the Friendship Foundation International with offices in Lagos and Accra. She is also a board member of the International Jurists Organization.

Mrs. Ikeonu is happily married to Val Ikeonu and they are blessed with two children.Sir. Nwosu is Managing Director, Tescon Ghana Ltd, Accra, Ghana Computer Consultant and was one of the pioneers of African Computerization.

He is currently the Managing Director of Tescon Ghana Ltd. and a member and past President of the Rotary Club of Accra. On Saturday May 7th, 2011 he was knighted as a Knight of St. Gregory the Great. His service to the development of society is enormous.

Sir Raphael was the Vice chairman of the electoral committee set-up by the Nigerian High commissioner, Ambassador Ademola Oluseyi Onafowokan, to Ghana to prepare the ANC – GH Election for 2013.
